CASE STUDY: PRATHER'S ON THE ALLEY

Owned by two Mount Vernon Triangle residents, Prather’s is an inviting neighborhood restaurant and bar with industrially inspired details and community-driven character. Located within 455 Eye Street Apartments, Prather’s combines a modern loft aesthetic with warm natural connections — its high-ceilinged, white-washed brick interior opens up to a lushly appointed terrace. As architectural lead, 17/27 collaborated with Natalie Park Design Studio to translate the concept vision into an eye-catching, seamlessly functional destination. 17/27 guided the design implementation, value engineering the concept’s garage doors and introducing technical modifications as needed to meet code requirements and improve usability. The resulting neighborhood icon is bolstered by a strong, creative point of view and operational flexibility.
