CASE STUDY: THE DIRTY GOOSE

Named after the owners' favorite martini, The Dirty Goose is a lively LGBTQ+ bar situated on DC’s bustling U Street. The owners engaged 17/27 to enhance the first floor with an inspired redesign that did their vision justice. To create an aspirational experience, 17/27 sourced a triangular wall covering that communicated the existing bow tie concept in a modern way, scouted out inexpensive yet high-quality finds, and introduced subtle personalized touches like a photo of the Washington Monument from the owners’ wedding venue. 17/27 conceptually linked the first and second floors by swapping out the second-floor bar pendants, repainting the walls, and featuring black and white photos of bow ties. Today, The Dirty Goose stands as a cohesive and polished representation of its owners’ vision.
